Udo and Kelly’s place was amazingly perfect. Immaculate, great space, big bathroom, so amazingly peaceful and beautiful. No TV which we had no problem with. We would return in a heartbeat
Review from Stephanie - Aug 2018
Our stay was wonderful. We were greeted by the hosts who brought us a glass of wine right away - pretty amazing! The place was beautiful, new and perfectly clean. The bed was super comfortable- not too hard and not too soft (we are picky about beds). The best part was the 180 degree views with tons of windows and a private patio to relax. It isn’t 10 minutes drive to town, which was great for us. So happy with our stay!!

Our stay at Udo and Kelly’s airbnb was above and beyond what we had imagined. The view is beautiful, the suite had everything we needed plus freashly baked goodies. We would love to come back soon. Thank you for a great weekend.

The Highlander Ranch exceeded our expectations. Udo and Kelly were so kind and friendly and we loved our visits from Sheba, the ranch cat! We especially loved chatting with Udo about things to do in the area and the history of the property. We really wish we could have stayed for more than one night— the sunset view from the patio and the view of the star-filled sky at night are beyond compare. We will definitely stay here again and are so grateful to have beautiful memories of Paso Robles to cherish thanks to Udo and Kelly.

You should 100% book here. It's a great value and Udo and Kelly added really lovely touches to an already fantastic space. I can't say enough good things about this place but here are a few of the best things: Views, Location, and a little cat who comes to visit!

Great place for some peace and quiet in the Paso Robles hill country! It's off the beaten path, but still close to all the main attractions in the area!
Review from Matt - Aug 2018
This place was fantastic! Spent my 40th birthday here with my family. Udo and Kelly are fantastic as well and quick with responses. The view was spectacular and I was able to enjoy it because I didn’t have to cook on my birthday. Ha. Stay here! You will love it

We'll return. The location is in the heart of wine country and the views are spectacular; hills, oak trees, vineyards, hawks, horses, rabbits, a couple of cattle, and ground squirrels were all visible at some point. The suite is private, secluded, and the scenery large and grand, which can be appreciated on the private patio, or from the inside through the walls of windows. Though the setting is spectacular, it's also a short drive to Paso and other attractions, such as Tin City. Check it out - there's a cidery and a brewery (excellent sour beer!), both with fun atmospheres. The suite itself is modern, large, clean, comfortable, and decorated in a way that adds to the ambience - not kitschy at all. Udo and Kelly had it stocked for comfort with a few snacks and drinks, along with a complimentary bottle of wine from a nearby vineyard, which unfortunately we didn't have time to visit, but the wine was tasty! There were also a few bottles for purchase, but with all the surrounding vineyards, we purchased from our visits and tastings. Before and after vineyard visits we loved swimming in and lounging by the pool. It's just through a gate and part of Udo and Kelly's house, but it felt comfortable. The views from the pool area are also stunning and there are many sitting areas for both shade and sun lovers. I'll add that the night time view was pretty as well, due to the stars in the wide open space. We enjoyed chillin' at night next to the mini gas fireplace. Udo and Kelly really have thought of everything for a comfortable stay. They are personable and easy. We enjoyed a drink and a chat with them on the other side of their property one night, also open to guests, and watched the sun go down. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Udo's place. Beautiful, quiet and great view of the Paso landscape. Communication was excellent. As was check in. You have a private drive to the apartment which is completely detached from the house. Plenty of privacy. Udo's home is adjacent to the apartment in case you need anything. The location is a short drive to downtown and wineries.
Review from Josh - February 2017
Udo and Kelly's casita is suited perfectly for Airbnb travelers. It's special, fully loaded, and private. The suite is uniquely built into a hillside that overlooks rolling hills and vineyards. The morning sun will light up the landscape, which you can view from wall-to-wall windows. The building is separate from Udo and Kelly's beautiful home via a separate driveway or pathway thru their backyard. The pool, spa, and fire pit are free to use, too. When you're a guest, they will not miss a single detail when preparing for your stay. We were greeted with a spotless room with fully stocked bathroom and kitchenette amenities, friendly smiles, and a complimentary bottle of wine from the neighborhood vineyard "Vines on the Marycrest". Speaking of vineyards, their place is positioned at the beginning of an easy-to-navigate loop around some of Paso Robles's most popular west-end wine tasting spots. We were able to visit a handful of wineries all within a few miles west of the home base. Plus, the're just minutes from downtown Paso. Udo and Kelly can recommend places of interest to visit. They love to share the best of Paso Robles with their guests. One thing of note...(SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps will direct you to drive around Mustard Creek Rd to reach their home. This is wrong. Take a left on Bella Tierra Ln, which is about a 1/4 mile from the main road. This is the correct way to their main house. Don't worry if you forgot. Udo and Kelly will remind you when you're driving up. It's so nice to have caring and friendly hosts.
